Job Reference: 101745

We want to recruit an Assistant Professor of New Approach Methodologies. You are in your early career and want to innovate using technologies that can better assess chemical health hazards based on understanding their modes of action on biomolecular pathways and/or cellular functions. You want to improve the performance and reliability of (eco)toxicological testing and support a humane transition away from traditional animal testing. You are particularly encouraged to apply if you have used high-throughput methods to study biomolecular or cellular processes and consider yourself a “technophile”. You are passionate about communicating what you know to specialists and the public who are concerned about the environment. The University of Birmingham prides itself on its strengths in integrating data using evolutionary principles to identify which groups of chemicals are hazardous to humans, other animals, and the environment towards One Health Toxicology.
